Tina Cuypers — Psychologist

You survived the worst parts.

Now stop reliving them on loop.

Tina Cuypers, psychologist

You know what happened to you. You know how it's holding you back. What you need isn't more insight. It's a way to change how that story lives in your brain.

Trauma leaves more than pain. It leaves beliefs behind. About who you are, what you can handle, what you deserve. Those beliefs made sense once. They kept you safe. But now they're in the way of the life you actually want.

I use EMDR to help you rewrite those beliefs. Not by talking about them endlessly, but through a process that lets your brain do what it's built to do: update old lessons that no longer apply. The neuroscience behind this is solid, and so are the results. 90% of clients see significant improvement within a few months.

You don't need to be "ready." You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to know that something from your past is still running the show, and you're done letting it.

This might be for you if…

You know what happened to you. Maybe you've known for years. You've thought about it, talked about it, maybe even therapied about it. And yet somehow it's still there. Still shaping how you react, what you avoid, what you believe about yourself.

You're not looking for someone to help you understand your past. You understand it fine. You're looking for someone who can help you stop being controlled by it.

You function. You might even function well. But you know there's a gap between the life you're living and the one you'd be living if your brain would just… let you.

How I work

I specialize in EMDR, a structured approach to processing traumatic experiences. It helps your brain unlearn old beliefs and form new ones. Not through years of talking, but through a targeted process with a solid evidence base.

Sessions are online, via video call. You don't need to commute, find parking, or sit in a waiting room avoiding eye contact with strangers. You just need a quiet space and a stable internet connection.

Most clients see real shifts within a few months. Some much sooner. It depends on what we're working with, and I'll be honest with you about that from the start.

Trauma didn't ask permission to stay.
You get to decide when it leaves.
